SUMMARY:Kentucky Lake\, Jonathan Creek
DESCRIPTION:This event attracts anglers from across the region who regularly participate in Kentucky Lake fishing tournaments\, one of the most competitive and rewarding bass fishing circuits in the Tri-State area. Whether you are competing for seasonal points or simply enjoying tournament competition\, this stop offers outstanding fishing opportunities. \nKey Areas on Kentucky Lake\nMore than 100 miles of water await anglers for the Tour’s fourth stop\, delivering excellent conditions for Kentucky Lake fishing tournaments throughout the season. \nThe Ned Mc Wherter Bridge\nLocated at US Highway 79 and Paris Landing\, this area is an icon in the tournament world. The ledges around Paris Landing are among the most productive structures anywhere on the lake\, and it is also the part of Kentucky Lake where shallow hydrilla begins to appear\, attracting consistent bass activity throughout the season. \nBlood River\nAnother major western inflow\, Blood River features some of the better shallow bank grass and bushes in Kentucky Lake along with excellent ledges. The area surrounding Blood River along the main river channel is considered one of the best sections of the lake for tournament anglers. With limited ramps and patchy cell service\, this region typically experiences less fishing pressure compared to the north end\, making it appealing for anglers familiar with both Kentucky Lake and regional Lake Barkley fishing patterns. \nThe North End\nThe northern end of Kentucky Lake is often one of the most crowded sections due to its developed access points and consistent fishing opportunities. With miles of offshore ledges broken up by secondary channels and the Tennessee River main channel\, tournaments can be won anywhere along this stretch. The north end is deeper and generally clearer than the southern section and experiences more recreational boating traffic during weekends. \nThe South End\nFarther south of Paris Landing\, the lake begins to resemble a river system with extensive backwaters. Ledges become shallower\, hydrilla becomes more abundant\, and bass sizes can increase significantly. If a shallow pattern dominates during the event\, many anglers expect strong performance from this area\, especially those experienced in Lake Barkley fishing conditions and shallow vegetation strategies. \nWelcome to Paris Landing State Park\nThank you for visiting beautiful Paris Landing State Park. We hope you enjoy your time here. Camping reservation changes or cancellations may be made by calling Central Reservations at 888-TNPARKS (888-867-2757) daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM CST/CDT.
